With over five decades of experience in custom rubber molding, we manufacture molded parts for diverse medical, agricultural, aerospace, and military applications. Iris Rubber serves as a single source for fabricating rubber molded products with metal or non-metal inserts. Compression and transfer molding processes are employed for low to medium volume production. Specially formulated rubber compounds make these molded parts heat, chemical, and abrasion-resistant.
Our extensive stock of formulations ranges from natural to exotic rubber compounds. Presses with tonnage capacities up to 500 tons allow us to mold rubber products in diameters up to 4’. We stock standard products such as inflatable air & lifting bags, mallets, ...
(4) We have manufactured over 1,000,000 pieces of standard sized rubber mallets. These mallets are completely manufactured in the United States and come with lifetime warranties. Our mallets are bounce-resistant as their hammer heads are made from specially formulated rubber. This feature makes them highly efficient in transferring energy to the target.
Rubber mallets are available in black as well as non-marking grey. Made from genuine hickory wood, the handles are attached firmly to the rubber heads through additional chemical bonding. We can also mark the handles of your mallets for private labeling. These rubber mallets are also sold as two-piece shelf packs. In addition to the rubber mallets, we manufacture and stock vibratory ...
We use CNC cold saws and end finishing machines to cut, brush, deburr, as well as chamfer your tubes. Our automatic cold saws can process tubes made from any type of alloy, including carbon steel and stainless steel. Tight tolerances of +/- 0.2 mm are achieved in our cutting.
End finishing services such as ID, OD, and end chamfering are offered for tubes with diameters ranging from 10 mm to 65 mm. Chamfering is done on both sides of the tube simultaneously for quick turnaround. Tubes with end-finishing tolerances of +/- 0.1 mm and neat finishes eliminate the need for additional grinding.
Iris Rubber is a complete mold shop offering design, engineering, and prototyping services under one roof. We can build prototypes from your rough sketches or ideas within short lead times. In-house mold making capabilities ensure accurate die-cast quality finishes for products. This reduces the need for further machining operations.
We also work with pre-existing mold designs to develop new products. The 500-ton presses at our machine shop are capable of handling material up to 48" x 60" in size. Parts are finally trimmed and finished through cryogenic deflashing processes. Our processes deflash parts quicker than chemical stripping, rotary tumbling, or hand sanding operations. Emergency production, on-site design assistance, ...
